A multilevel SLA in ITIL v3 refers to the hierarchical structure of SLAs to address different aspects and levels of service delivery. It recognizes that a service provider may have different types of customers or stakeholders, each with unique requirements and expectations. The multilevel approach allows for the creation of distinct SLAs to address these varying needs.
Here's a breakdown of the multilevel structure in an SLA:
Corporate Level SLA: This is the highest level and is typically established at the corporate or organizational level. It defines the overall expectations and requirements for service delivery across the entire organization. It sets the tone for the lower-level SLAs.
Customer Level SLA: Below the corporate level, there may be customer-specific SLAs. These SLAs address the unique needs and expectations of specific customer groups within the organization. Each customer level SLA is tailored to the requirements of a particular business unit or department.
Service Level SLA: At the lowest level, there are Service Level SLAs. These SLAs define the specific service targets and commitments for individual IT services. They are more detailed and granular, outlining the quality and performance standards for each service.
