Regarding the use of the -ing form in English grammar, all the following alternatives are correct, except:

The -ing form can’t be used in the past or present tenses.

To be able to use a verb after a preposition, it must be in -ing form.

It can operate as a verb in the gerund and continuous forms or as an adjective.
