Não tendo tido nunca uma linha de conduta, não lhe será
possível coordenar e ligar uns aos outros os atos de sua
existência. De que serve fazer provisões de tintas se não se
sabe que pintar? Ninguém determina do princípio ao fim o
caminho que pretende seguir na vida: só nos decidimos por
trechos, na medida em que vamos avançando. O arqueiro
precisa antes escolher o alvo; só então prepara o arco e a
flecha e executa os movimentos necessários; nossas
resoluções se perdem porque não temos um objetivo
predeterminado. O vento nunca é favorável a quem não tem um
